The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) have in the past carried out a lot of work on a treatment for acute severe bleeding after trauma and childbirth. They have seen significant success with this work, and are now applying this knowledge to new work on the prevention of bleeding complications in patients with cirrhosis.
As part of the project they would like to involve patients early in the development of this new research to discuss patient experiences and outcomes.
The team are particularly interested in speaking with patients with cirrhosis, especially those who have experienced bleeding complications. If you would be interested in talking to the research team and adding your input, please send the British Liver Trust an email (info@britishlivertrust.org.uk) and we will put you in touch with the LSHTM team.
