Normally the British Liver Trust/HealthUnlocked would ask if any people would be willing to take part in a research program such as this rather that someone just posting a thread as in this case.

Please could one of the Trust administrators please say if this is an agreed post?

Who are the admins? I'm an admin for another group so I didn't see the harm. But I'm happy to take it down.

Hello Andrea, I really didn't mean to pour scorn on your research but I would just clarify with the administrators first. Near the top of this page you will find a group of buttons entitled, "Home, Posts, Search, Members, About, Polls".

The administrators can be found by clicking on "Members". Some of these people seem to work in shifts so you'll not always know which on is on at any one time. Trust1 I know doesn't cover weekends. I think if I was you I'd just write to one of the Trust's and the copy and paste it to all, at least they'll get your message.

You may find that once these guys have given their blessing, you might receive a greater response to your research program. Good Luck

Richard

Are British patients eligible for the study? If so I can't see a problem with your post.

If British patients aren't eligible then the post should probably be removed.

I see no problem with having this post up. Even if all cannot benifit from it. It should be available to those who can. Not everyone on this forum is living in Britain including myself Whilst it is the British Liver Trust it is open to members worldwide. Also the post isnt causing anyone any detriment so I dont see the problem at all here. Thanks for the share Andrea.

As the majority of patients on this site are British it would be helpful if the original post stated if they are ineligible for the study...rather than them wasting their time filling in a questionairre to find out they don't qualify.

Not disagreeing with that at all. That should be clarified. But suggesting it be removed if it's not available to British members is hardly necessary as it could serve to benifit non British members of this site.

I just went into the link and after the first page of the questionnaire it states you must be American to qualify. So there's the answer to that.

I have messaged you. All research applications and posts need to be sent via the British Liver Trust communications team prior to posting.

Kind regards
