Chrosis: Hello I've had Chrosis... - British Liver Trust
Chrosis
Hi, I have the same going on. I am curious how long we will feel Good! Most of the time I feel pretty good. However, I have been having pain with my liver regular pain! It's not horrible pain, but uncomfortable. I was told need to lose at least 20/lbs due to sugar. I am working out 5 days a week more when can. Haven't lost much weight yet but trying.
I'm not sure what you mean by Liver pain? The reason I say this is because that liver doesn't have any pain receptors. This is why people don't know the damage that's being caused. Having said that there is a thin membrane covering the liver that does have pain receptors and these can cause pain if the liver becomes enlarged or swollen.
Thank you what ever it is it hurts a lot .
I have also had the diagnosis 15 months ago ..I have PBC autoimmune so not sure if symptoms are all the same, but don't think about what might be,because we are all different ...I had a varise bleed but not everyone does...I don't itch but lots do..I do think about it as food can irritate my stomach and I also have a full gallbladder which can hurt, but better if I eat well...I hope all goes well for you..some people live 15 years with it! and then get a transplant..I am nearly 68 so I suspect I will be too old...but we will see.
Hi I also had NASH diagnosis about 3-4 years ago and had a transplant 2 yrs ago. I was very lethargic had weight loss ascites and generally felt unwell. I had complications after transplant but seriously have not looked back after transplant with my liver probs since then. I hope this gives u hope all will be well x

I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2004 I did not take it as serious as I should have. About 6 yrs ago I had gone to hospital for food poisoning. I did not know I had any liver problems cause my tests always comes back normal. They did scan and told me I had cirrhosis. I did not know diabetes could cause cirrhosis. I changed my life I have lost quite a bit of weight started watching my A1C and colestrol which liver specialist said is good to watch. Getting more exercise. So it's important to watch what you can. Doing pretty good so far. I have read as much as I can about cirrhosis. Just try to do what you can. Not everyone goes through Same things I think it is good to know about what could happen just to be prepared. Liver specialist said if I had not made changes I could have already been in trouble. The liver is an amazing organ and if people stop abusing it you can live a long time. It has helped a lot talking and getting advice on this website I have learned a lot. Take care and keep in touch.
Thank you all for your own experiences that are happening I read each one just trying to relate to them. Just curious when the surgeon did my biopsy he said my liver showed bands and then he did gallbladder surgery in June I asked him what my liver looked like he said it looked like it did s year still had some bands . Don't know what this means.
