Hi. I was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis 4 years ago and probably had it for a lot longer before. I’ve lived a very normal life, albeit not alcohol, no smoking, adjusting my diet.....I have got a little more poorly over the past year and was put on the transplant list but there are people on this site that have been living with Cirrhosis for a long time with medical check ups...good luck!
i was diagnosed in 2008 with cirrhosis .ALD . dont drink alcohol obviously not allowed .dont smoke ; i eat healthy but im a bugger for maltesers 😂. i can get through two boxes a night ... yes naughty i knkw but i need that indulgence .

Hi I have a nafld and cirrhosis diagnosis. I'm lucky about the alcohol not being something I give up as I gave that up many years ago. But I sure am missing the sweet things I enjoyed. I allow myself 2 treats a week. It may be a pudding with custard or something similar. It's really hard but I've got to lose some weight and eat healthier. Lots of fruit and vegetables I'm on mainly frozen. But oh do I miss being able to look in the cake counter.

I have a serious love affair with cake and Lindt, there's a Lindt shop in Gloucester where friends live and it's all I can do not to face plant myself into the vast assortment of chocs in there, I was given a kilo of them last time.. I'm bad xx
What can I say Lindt chocolate yum yum. They are still among my top favourite chocolates. A Lindt chocolate shop 😀😀 a kilo how long did they last? Better not tell me, I'd either envy you your won't power, or envy you being very naughty. Cakes, one of my favourite is a millefeuille, I like custard slices, but a decent millefeuille just feels a little naughtier.
I might not be able to eat them very often now, but drooling over them just now was wonderful.
I went meadowhall today and I had an almond and cherry cookie. It was one of my treat days. It was like eating a bakewell cookie. Yum yum.

Oh lush I love Bakewell anything! Yes a Lindt shop, their website doesn't do it justice I was stunned at so many flavours... I darent say how long they lasted it wouldn't be fair! Millefeuille are Yum and thanks to the gbbo I now want to try canolli.... there is no hope this end!
Meadowhall rings a bell but no idea why as I live near Camberley in Surrey
Take care and glad you had a treat

Sheffield. I was sent to the spinal unit in Sheffield for my rehab 3 years ago. Part of my learning to cope post the injury was coping with shopping there. I did a couple of times with my husband but got confident to go once on my own to meet my family and once totally on my own. It was really strange learning to cope in a wheelchair. I still mainly use one now as I can't walk far. But I got used to going to meadowhall for a treat. Apparently Manchester has a good shopping centre but it is a bit too far for me. I live in the East Midlands.
I feel like a child who is being good waiting for Christmas. Role on Wednesday my next treat day.
Have fun and take care.

Ah bless you, haven't been to Sheffield since childhood!
You're doing so well, I wish I could be that disciplined, it's great you push yourself to do these things, I'm only going bowling with 2 x 10 year olds after school tomorrow and have to find the confidence to do that, it's only up the road 🙄 xx
Bowling with 2 ten year olds is very brave. I haven't been bowling in years. Couldn't face the humiliation of too manage gutter balls, and when the kids beat me.... the reminders of my mistakes. For days and days.
Have fun.😀

Haha thanks it'll keep them amused and my daughter off her laptop albeit briefly! How did we cope pre technology eh!! Xx
We had conversations and less excuse to ignore mum when she gave us jobs to do. Remember the days where you simply had to make sure you didn't say the wrong thing. Nowadays you never know what spellchecker will change the typing error to.

Forgot to add learnt to eat chocolate when technology didn't get in the way. I'm glad I haven't forgotten that skill. Just reduced its use.
