What a brave thing to do, heartfelt. It makes the situation very real ! I really hope your turn comes very soon Xx
Hi
What a brilliant video which must have been so hard to do. You are one very brave lady and I hope you get that important call very soon. Please take care. Lots of love Lynne xxxx
Thanks Lynne, it was hard. They didn't am amzing job with the videos I gave them... if one persons life is saved because of someone signing in the register all because of a video I did then the world is a better place xx
As someone who has had a liver transplant, I feel your pain and sincerely hope you get your call very soon. You're such an inspiration and stronger than you know! ♥️
Thank you xx
Well done you. Brave and beautiful.. Xx
Thanks everyone for your messages! With the material I gave them I was surprise they could put something together. They worked miracles. I never expected it to pull at the heart strings so much. Lol... 😳 Even I cried. But if one person signs the donor register and one persons life is saved/extended/bettered for it then that makes me happy and the journey of recording those videos worth it. X
I will be signing it, they may not want my liver but they can have whatever else is usable... I am getting my partner to do the same.. xx
That's good news Miche49uk ....we never know what they can find useful....thank you. Xx
Thank you for sharing and baring your heart and soul to us all. Sending all the best from New Zealand, kia kaha, (means stay strong), Soooze
So I just joined this forum and this is the first thing I've seen - WOW! Very moving and well done for putting your thoughts and feelings out in the public domain by video. Having been on a liver ward and seen people come in and out for transplants I have a very small idea of what you are going through, but I really do hope that your call comes and it all goes to plan. I'm on a good number of the same meds you are and all I can say is keep going, keep the faith!
Warm wishes
Mish
Great story, thanks for being the voice and being strong. I can relate to the Navy portion, I was an Army Officer, discharged for a spinal tumor. Ended up here because I damaged my liver with painkillers. I thought I was treating the pain, but in reality numbing the mental pain from the military discharge. Sending my prayers, keep up the good fight!
Chloe to the rescue once again. You are a transplant hero hun, thank you xx
P.s. I have shared the video to social media and I hope everyone else does too
Rita xx
Absolutely brilliantly done and so great of you to do that and great how much trust and care in you from all those around you. Being post transplant and so very grateful to my donor and their family and the most fantastic medical team from all ranks of care and duty I am always so very happy to still be here and trying to get back into society to help others as I have been helped. Because of where I was at the time I was lucky to have only been on the list for five months and when I got the call the first time the donor liver liver was not suitable got home the next day and got the call again the next night and the transplant was done. Months leading up to that day are a bit hazy to be honest because of where I was in health, but yea I truly understand on the career side of things as I am trying to get into a totally new career at the moment. One imensly huge thing though is that all on the donor list must tell and talk with family and friends openly and often of their intentions and be so proud of themselves for wanting to help others as I have been helped. What more can I say and so great of you to do that video
Brilliant Chelle. You did warn me about tissues but regardless I watched it at work and hope nobody saw me sobbing at my desk
"I morn the person that I was". That really struck a cord with me. I've had diagnosed liver disease since I was 27. And it was well progressed even then. So I do wonder what would be different about my life had I not been ill. I was ill when my kids were young and struggled to work and be a father. It pretty much ruined my marriage and we divorced. I lost my home and living with my kids. My career was up and down for years too. Every day was a struggle.
On another note I really didn't mind the lactulose.
Thank you for sharing such a powerful and heartfelt video,
Best wishes,
Ream BLT
Thank you everyone for your lovely words and support in sharing on your social medias. I honestly didn't think that the Huffington Post would have been able to make anything from my videos. I also didn't';t think I cried as much as I did...ha ha....Over 40K people have seen the video, and I have had over 100 people message me letting me know that they are now on the register....there is nothing more I can ask for....what an amazing achievement!
I hope your are all well in your own respect xx
