Blue Veins

Random question, but has anyone got blue veins showing all over their body? In the last couple of months I've noticed them in my legs, arms and down the sides of my ribcage amongst other areas.... Is this a normal thing (as in everyone has it) am I going mad or is there a genuine cause? All opinions would be appreciated!

Have you lost muscle from your arms and legs> I have and on those limbs I have many blue vein which I never used to be able to see. I am trying to put on more muscle.

I have them going down the insides of both legs. They are superficial, not varicose veins and are in bunches around the inner aspect of my knees, then smaller collections at interval towards my feet.

When I first noticed them I thought they were stretch marks but they are not. My endocrinologist noticed them whilst checking for neuropathy and said they were a sign of congestion. She advised going to a vascular specialist however, I see enough doctors, I don't need anymore, so I didn't bother.

Do you have any pain or discomfort with yours?.

Yes, when my liver was sick I had the same thing. One actually got so tight that it tore my linea alba due to pressure build up. The must frustrating part was the doctors saying, "that is just your antimony". I was like no, 30 years in this body, it isn't my anatomy! I concur with the post above mine, it could be congestion if you have liver disease. When portal pressure backs up, it isn't going to just affect portal pressure, the whole venous system will become congested. Another issue I had was petechial popping up, these are little red dots. They can be a sign of venous pressure increase as-well. The capillaries are damaged by the pressure causing these petechial.

Yes I have and one looks like a and explosion underarm and is big another one bid in left arm that I can see it raised and pulse it freaks me out as keep seeing more but I am sorry I don't have answer but I'm gonna look at your answers as I am worried.all the best
