Sorry for spelling mistakes in my post. I do check before I send sometimes but I swear it changes in transit lol. Even on Facebook to friends and normal text I sometimes read back and think my God what happened there.

That's fascinating

Hope it works on more people it's about time there was a decent alternative to transplant.

By the way to read the paper if you hold your finger on it you can download the image or turn your phone a bit

Thanks so much for sharing Jim,

Love this!!

Its a shame but we never seem to hear of any breakthroughs or trials that are taking place for new medication etc etc.

Matt if you set up google alerts and put in a few key words on the type of liver disease you have you should receive email notifications if anything with those key words in is published.

I found this interesting article about the dialive machine

I have to confess that its a bit worrying to see how much of the research and development of the machine has been a European Union collaboration with EU finance and cooperation.

Hope the recent decision to leave Europe doesn't have a negative effect.

I understand it wont Jim, the government is funding multiple innovation streams and, i am told, budgeting for post brexit. H2020 is a great vehicle for collaborations of this type across multiple countries. £6.4m is nothing for a medical trial of this nature. It will cost many more millions to get the machine and process approved.
