Laprazole

Hi ive just joined the forum i have been prescribed laprazole i have only strted taking it since yesterday does anybody know how long it takes to start working as woke up this morning and still got pain wen i eat?

I have the same capsules but I first had them a long time ago, but I seem to remember they acted quite quickly so just hang on and see what happens, you may need an increased dosage, see your GP I'm sure he will put you right.

Thanks i will try be patient but i am experiencing being sick with wat looks like flem wen ime eating or drinking can paracetamol be causing this has i hav them to help with the back pain i get with the acid?

They take about 5-7 days to kick in. In the meantime drink milk that helps also as I have just had to up my dose I on 3Rd day and it's just easing again x

Thanks hope so the pain i can cope with its the being sick while eating that i carnt stand

If you like or can drink it get some ginger tea and peppermint tea. Ginger eases nausea and settles your stomach and peppermint helps with the acid.

No one on the forum is qualified to advise on medications.

If you are in pain and being sick then it may be a good idea to see your GP again as soon as you can. They can refer you for additional tests and investigations if needed. You can also discuss your query about paracetamol with them.

Thanks all well i stayed clear of paracetamol yesterday and although the back pain was there it wasnt as intense and i managed to eat without being sick so just gunna stick to the Laprazole as its seems to be easing a little x

Hi i went back to the doctors as the dissolvable Laprazole was makin me sick and got prescribed losec mups and gaviscon as anybody else had this?
