Is this the same as an endoscopy??
Was told mine won't be till August.
Had lots of bloods done again! And then they brought it forward to may.
Not sure if there is a reason for this but at least I don't have to wait too long now. X

You will be fine, I'm always nervous having anything done 😓. But I get on with it as they do them for a reason. Hope all turns out fine x
Hi,
A gastroscopy is a procedure where a thin, flexible tube called an endoscope is used to look inside the oesophagus (gullet), stomach and first part of the small intestine (duodenum).
It's also sometimes referred to as an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy
Best wishes,
Rebecca
Hi..same thing. I have had five, three with bandings done...don't like it but its not that bad and it is absolutely essential and it is over quickly.. Good luck and ask for a sedative!
I've got gastroscopy booked for next this. Yeah wont lie there uncomfortable if offered a sedative..take it. I have these little procedures every couple of months I've got oesophageal varies and you do not want them to burst!!
