Just had a fibroscan . Waiting on the results but kind of don't want to know now what it is....

Hi. I am almost 55 years old. Took Harvoni 2 years ago for a 32 year hep c virus . Before I started on Harvoni I was a grade 3 stage 3 liver disease. Since Harvoni I continued to drink vodka like I was invincible. My complaints for 2 years where severe pain upper right quadrant rib pain. Doesn't hurt when I drink but the next day it is so severe I have gone to the ER. Dr has me going to PT for trigger point injections. Helps some what. Gastrolinterlogist says it is not my liver because it is incapsolated .. I Don't believe him! Lately I get dizzy and feel like I am about to faint and not here. My BP has been very high with also no help from my GP. Worried about my liver I asked my gastroenterologist to have a fibroscan done. I had it done Friday not knowing that I could have read the report myself reading all about the scan on the internet after my appt. the tech said my high score was 19 2 scores where 4 but mainly in the teens She showed me the chart but then I didn't know they calculated it with a medium number. I think the middle numbers would be around 15 to 13. Looking on line there is a chart that shows the fibroscan result for an alcoholic for 11 to 19 is still a grade 3. My blood work is perfect. Had a ultrasound done in Janurary which was perfect and a ct scan with die contrast 3 months ago which was perfect. I have been scared shitless and I don't understand how people on this site aren't so scared being diagnosis with cerohsis . I drank vodka last night but I don't drink only now Friday and Saturday. I am scared and I don't want to know my results now. The technition told me she would call me Monday or Tuesday after the doctor calculates my numbers and said to me don't worry she thought I was a 1 or 2 grade which is BS . Is it true she wouldn't have know my final number after my test that day .? Anyone have an idea what my outcome maybe ? Thank you for listening. D.

I don't see how it cant be your liver if you have liver disease?? I recommend that you request to be referred to a Hepatologist; who can explain everything to you/what all the results mean etc etc . Main thing is, you must stop drinking now, straight away and for good. If you don't, your liver will worsen.

It's not your liver because it is incapsulated? Run, don't walk to another doctor.
