My family member has just had their first tace treatment two days ago
There have been no side effects so far only noticed yellowing of the eyes on day one which subsided by day two and also some abdominal pain which was there before treatment and was advised to just take painkillers for that.
They are doing a second round in one month.

Thank you, i was diagnosed with HH about 15 years ago, after my twin sons were diagnosed, but i dont really have any problems, in fact one consultant i saw doesnt think i do have it, but it was diagnosed by blood test and genetivc tests, but my mother had no problems and died aged 96, dont know anything about my father,
My ferritin at the start though was 950, its been as low as 8 after venesection, and had only a few of them in all this time, i had a lood test a couple of weeks ago and my ferritin was 172 so now i have to have venesections everyy 2 weeks until it drops
I am 74 [just] and in good health generally, i am not on any medication at all for anything,its a mystery to me
