Bad Cough

hiya

i have AIH and cirrhosis and have bad chest infection. Should I worry more than if i'd had a bad cough when I didn't know? D'you think I can fight it off without going and getting it checked or should I wait until it doesn't go or gets worse.

what kind of cough do you have? are you coughing up anything? as if you are then you will need anti biotics to clear this up.

My doctor told me that if I get a sore throat or bad cough that lasts more than a few days or I feel ill with it,then I should see him. Better to check in case it gets worse,hope you feel better soon

I went and he gave me amoxycillin, but it feels like it's on it's way out without intervention, but whilst I'm still coughing up hulk coloured slime, I'll take a few days worth to be on the safe side.

Hadn't heard from you for a bit. Where are you up to?

Glad it's on it way out though as it could easily develop into more. The less intervention the better, eh?!. 👍

Been rough again, just had a HE diagnosis (mild) I've been doing stupid, stupid things! 😈 And sleep pattern is anything but normal! Lol! Other than that, I'm still plodding on with spending time trying to remember what I forgot!

Also, we're selling up so been busy organising Matt with cleaning selling furniture etc 😀😀😀😀😀

My hubby Peter got a bad tickly dry cough in November 2015 ,coughed really hard one day and developed a hernia, yes a heavy drinker for years over weight and type 2 diabetic for years refused to go to Dr until Deb this year , had hernia op booked for June but April 2nd swelled up like a balloon n couldn't fit into trousers shoes even PJ legs too tight ,. It took for me to have a car accident and him being unable to help me for him to accept that he was seriously ill with Liver, portal hypertension and all that goes with it so my advice if you have a cough for more than a few weeks TEll The Doc
