Hi all can anyone shed some light on this matter . I recently had livet antibodie tests done by GP because of symyoms plus elevated lft . I rang for my results the nurse said the doc had wrote satisfactory on them . Would that be correct I always thought bloods had ranges/ refs thanks for any info

I think I would be tempted to make an appointment and go in and see the doctor and ask to view the results or ask doctor to discuss them with you. 'Satisfactory' seems to be the pat answer to blood test results if they are not way out of range - in that case they normally ask you in. However, there were obviously symptoms and suspicions which triggered the test in the first place so go in and see the results for yourself in case follow up is required - we've found out during the progress of hubbies condition that you do need to take some 'ownership' of your health and push for things which you feel are needed ................. do question things if you arn't happy with how you feel things are being handled.

Best wishes, Katie

Sounds like this still needs some follow up. Like I say make an appointment to go in and see your doctor - if the bloods are coming back within range what is causing the pain and stuff? More follow up required - ultrasound scan or an endoscopy to see what is causing bad indigestion symptoms. Don't just sit back and accept the 'satisfactory bloods' answer. My hubbies are often satisfactory and yet we know he has a chronic cirrhosis diagnosis (not saying you have that BUT bloods can be satisfactory whilst other stuff is going on).

Hope you get some answers, Katie x

Perhaps request ultrasound as maybe gall stones, I was diagnosed last week but suspected it and work with a few who have had it out. Pain is right sided although many diff symptoms from person to person. I have right arm pain chest pain going thru to right shoulder, started a month ago with chest pain like I've never had pain before. Google it and see if it sounds like you, worth ruling out of nothing else. Regards

Thank you I have been looking at that but I don't have stomach pain so not sure . I can't lean on my right ribs painful to touch like a dull ache then it seems to flare at some point going into my right shouder back shoulder blade . I thought it was disc trouble 😥 It's hard to figure out . Thanks for reply

That sounds like gall stones, the pain goes through to the shoulder blade area. I didn't get stomach pain but pain under right ribs. Worth a mention to GP.

I would def make an appointment anyway and ask for a print out of your results. I always do and go through them at home. I agree wholeheartedly with Kate you DO have to be a bit pushy after all it's your health so be bold!! Good luck

I totally agree with Kate. Get details from your GP practice and regardless of what they say you still have some issues that need further investigation. Don't expect the Dr to call you back in. They just don't do it or don't have the time so as said before you have to take ownership of your health and push for further tests to diagnose the problem.

Thanks I will today
