I see a lot of info on grading for Fibroscan which I have not had. I have had two shearwave liver elastographys. Are they graded the same?
Wondering if they yield the same accuracy?

isn’t transient ultrasound the same as Fibroscan not sheave wave elastography?
FibroScan® is a non-invasive device that assesses the 'hardness' (or stiffness) of the liver via the technique of transient elastography. Liver hardness is evaluated by measuring the velocity of a vibration wave (also called a 'shear wave') generated on the skin.
This is what I’m confused about. It says both transient elastography and shear wave. Just wondering if the results chart for shearwave is same as with Fibroscan? The chart I’ve seen the cut off is higher than what you posted above(6)
The results and charts are different. I have had both tests. The ultrasound elastography has a lower threshold. Also the manufacturers have different thresholds. For instance Phillips is different then a GE machine.
is one more accurate than the other?
I had the mre which is different from the fibroscan. It’s basically an mri with elastography. The scoring system is much different. I’m not sure if that’s what you had though
I think what I had was the same as MRE just with ultrasound instead.
but the values for normal look very different
