Bless you, a living nightmare, hope you are doing well. I can totally relate to your story, mine is similar, in the fact that I wasn't I'll before hand. Remember spending the Monday in bed with flu like symptoms, going into an ambulance that night & that was it till 10 days later being woken up & being told I was the QE & the transplant went well. My transplant was on 3/10/14. I'd been transferred on the tues night & my partner & daughters told on the weds I had 48hrs as my liver had totally failed & all other organs were failing & they had put me on super urgent list & I needed certain type of liver. They got the call early Friday to say they had got one. As you say the emotions are a real roller coaster & still are now. I am so pleased you had all the love & support of family & friends it is invaluable in your recovery, which with the support of these people, the medical staff & your meds am sure will continue. I too would like to met my donor family as works in a letter are not enough to express the gratitude we feel for these unsung heroes at their life's lowest. ☺️
