If it's getting worser I am going tomorrow to the GP

yes go if you are in pain. but hepc doest usually cause any pain, thats why people end up in Liver failure, because they have it for 30-40 years without knowing
Thanks Ralph will do
hi there..I had Hep C for over 20 years without incident or pain..as far as I know, it does not cause pain, but it can cause Cirrhosis and liver disease which can result in serious pain. I developed Ascites from Cirrhosis. I have three types of Cirrhosis, Fatty Liver, Hepatic, and Alcohol related.
The ascites caused me to have a lot of extra fluid in my belly and in my legs ankles and feet. The pain from this can be excruciating, and I am medicated for it.
I can't imagine its the Hep C, but depending on how long you've had it, or what it has done to your liver..that might be the culprit. Hopes this helps.
cheering you on!
Thanks for your answer Kimberly
Since I knew I have hep C and Cirrhosis I had just couple of drinks but after my last Consultation I don't drink at all. I am on quite a lot Medication such Methotrexate Valium Pregabline etc. I have two kids sometimes it's difficult to go out with them because of tiredness or pain I just personally think it's not fair on them. Someone told me Hampshire it is difficult to get Treatment in Hampshire are sad
Wow methotrexate and pregabalin are pretty tough meds - obviously not for Hep C - are you taking them for some sort of arthritic pain? Also the valium along with everything else is going to be tough on your liver. But as others have said, HCV doesnt cause pain so presume the pain is from whatever you take the meds for. Have you asked to be referred to a pain clinic to help get to grips with it?
Alas, I am not familiar with Hampshire, sorry! We live in Great Totham, closer to the Colechester area in East Anglia,..but we drive the 90 minutes to Addenbrookes at Cambridge, because they are the best. They really are. I would HATE going anywhere else, after having been there. They specialize in the liver, and doctors from all over the world come to be a part of their team and also to learn from them..plus, it's a teaching hospital. Lately, whenever I get a drain for my acites, my Nurse specialist is like do you mind if I being someone into watch? or do you mind, I'm training someone how to do this..i always say sureeee..go right ahead! I figure the more people who know how to do it right, the better!
Your meds sound very strong! poor thing! I'm so blessed my kids are adults..because your right, we, as parents, end up feeling guilty wen we don't have the energy or strength to play with or take good care of our kids!!
thinking a good thought for you today!

IM slightly confused. You said you have only been infected with hepc for a year? do you mean youve only found out you have it a year ago? having hepc with cirrhosis would indicate youve had it for decades.
Hep C can cause pain, just not in everyone. I've had it for 30 years and get pain on my right side.
