have been diagnosed with cirrhosis years ago.have developed red spots on chest,and itch a lot,tired.had liver function test and protein blood test,awaiting result.

There could be many reasons for these symptoms. Try not to worry too much. Wait for results. I have an autoimmune liver disease and have had those things most of the time.....20yrs. Your consultant will be best person to explain your results. Hope this helps a little.

Hi, have to agree with the others. These are quite normal symptoms with cirrhosis. Have you been treated for the cause of your cirrhosis if you know what it is.

probably alcohol abuse/hepititis c (cured) damage,my liver funtion/protein blood test was normal,and i feel better already !

Why do you assume it's alcohol related? I have Cirrhosis as a result of Hemochromatosis and not in part related to Alcohol!

Hepatitis C (undiagnosed but now successfully treated) and binge drinking have caused the Cirrhosis.Should i get tested for another cause ?

If the Hep C is cured (well done, its a tough treatment) then any further liver damage symptoms (your red spots could be spider naevii) must be caused by something else. Are you still drinking alcohol?

yes,have stopped,and the spots/itching are subsiding...

Im certainly feeling a lot better,my GP has asked me to have a kidney check blood test,im awaing the result of that next week.
