Ok so I recieved a letter from my heptologist today....I don't have liver cirrhosis....just portal vein thrombosis with resultant morphology and regenerative change....12 months it's taken to get here....i know I'm not in a safe place but better than I thought!

Can they put stents in for that like they do for hearts?

Nice to here and congrats.

Have colaterals developed in your case, if yes than there is no need to put stent for portal vein thrombosis. but many doctors suggest Warfarin as a part of anticoagulation treatment as another vein may get thrombosed. What heptologist suggests ?
