My mother is on PegInt _RBV therapy and she is having severe hair fall. Is there any way to stop it? Any medicine?

Sorry I can't help. When I got the treatment I didn't get any hair loss: many mood changes and deleriums but no hair loss. Advise her to ask the consultant for help or a referral to someone else who might have some help to offer. good luck phil

Hi arun, as far as I know there is no way to prevent hair loss (its a bit like people on chemo, some lose their hair others dont), the only reassurance is it will grow back once your mother completes treatment and stops taking the meds

Thanks a lot Bolly. Hope these will regrow. Not sure how many chances of growing back in this age.

I drank a gallon of water a day on that treatment and I quit washing my hair to retain its oils. I lost almost no hair. I hope that helps.
