I was transplanted in 2007 but unfortunately suffered HAT in 2013, I have been on 450mg of Rifampicin for severe pruritus for the last 6 months but about a week ago the pruritus is on it's way back.Has the Rifampicin stopped being effective? Would having a permanent drain put in help? I can't get any straight answers from the consultants. I have a biloma and at present my episodes of sepsis are being managed with oral antibiotics.
