So “Mindful Minutes” with CB, Andy P and athlete Colleen Quigly.
Planned for a 5k, even though I wasn’t likely to make the distance as this was a recovery run, so not pushing it, but still using the Park Run Course.
However, started at the bottom and went up and round! My brisk walk got me to the little bridge over the stream before the Lower Playing Fields. This was a very windy stretch…I’d worn my buff instead of my hat as the sun was out…and my ears still felt ok 😅
Across the road and up the East side of the river. Tough going as although it appears flat…there is actually a slow incline from the Boating Lake up to the Bowling Green! Did a loop here…crossed the river and headed down the west side. Hoodie off and tied around waist.
Back over the road, through the Playing Fields, and around the Lake. Geese not so noisy today. A nice gentle plod…smiling at people and dodging dogs! My 70’s rock music 🎶 and words of wisdom from NRC.
50 minutes were up, but I ran on to reach 5k and register a #NotParkRun (#72!)
An extended cool down walk too…for the #12MinuteChallenge 🙌🏼
