Is VO2 Max reading on Garmin accurate?

Hello, ever wondered if your VO2 on your watch is accurate. I was told that it was unlikely.

I'm not a fan of Garmin's approach to VO2Max at the best of times. The algorithm favours short, flat runs, and penalises those involving hills and distance. It also slaps you down if you don't run as regularly as it thinks you should, whatever the reason. So yup, I'm distinctly unimpressed.

I’m pretty fit for someone in their late 50’s I suppose, but I find it amusing how Garmin rates me as Superior with the fitness age of a 20 year old. I have news Garmin ………. 🙄
