Ran and then rowed the whole North Coast! Now, when will my medal arrive?
The next medal I sign up for will be for 100% running again!
Keep on keeping on, everyone.
Happy running!

Well done 👏 hope your running shortly.
Great stuff and how brave in all these blustery conditions! Well done you...
That's an extraordinary amount of rowing CBDB, how many hours in total? Spurred on by your enthusiasm I've started using the rowing machine when I'm at the gym. I will try and build up the time I spend on it but need the right music to pace strokes to.
Oh, how wonderful! Oh I hope you have as much fun as I have!
I think I manage about 30k per week, so more than at my best running periods. My Concept2 online logbook tells me I’ve rowed 138km in January! (On pic left) But we do have a rower at home, and it just feels great to be able to just row after coming back from work. I think that is for me different from running, where ideally I ran in the morning or at least before 5pm.
Music: I haven’t found a good music to row to yet. The beats work differently. So let me know when you find some good music.
But I do love listening to the chatter of RowAlong. It’s on YouTube as well as on podcast, and the podcast version has done music underlying it as well. (On pic right) So that might be a good thing to try. And as it’s a podcast, you can also download it and no need for internet at the gym then.
Episode 92 (nov 2021) (day 1 of his 30min x 30 series) : Apple Podcast link is podcasts.apple.com/gb/podca...
But it should be available on Android podcast players as well.
How exciting! And let me know how you find your rowing journey.

How long to you spend on it at one time cbdb? I tried it again after an hour on the tm this morning but could only manage 10 mins. I get so hot on the tm that's it's more tiring so probably wrong time to then start rowing. Will try the other way round next time.
I think I did only 20 min when I started but I can now spend 40 sometimes 50min on there.
Yes, I wonder if it’s better to start with rowing, as you can use it for a warm-up.
But I think it’s a good idea to put the drag factor (so the resistance lever) really low, as it’s easier on the back and affords you to get the technique right.
So on a Concept2 I’d check if the lever is at 2 or 3. I have it at 2, and that’s fine. Once I get even more used to rowing, I can always put it up.
The room with my rower is also not heated, so feels almost like outside temperatures. That helps.
And well done!!! 👏👏👏👏
Thanks cbdb, I'm not sure what the drag factor is but it's the highest or top of its arc. I'll take a photo next week. I'll do 15" warm up on too, tho won't be till Wednesday as we are going to visit daughter - up - north.... I like the fact it's low impact but good for arms too, all good for my tennis 🎾
Yeah, it sounds like you want to put it down to somewhere around 3 at the beginning and I think you’ll find it much easier. But here is a video explaining the drag factor youtu.be/d2pzo0DctpA
So I have my lever at 2 or 3, giving me a drag factor on my machine if 90-100.
