Alicante half marathon

Here on a short storm-free break, I only learned of the half marathon last night. Looking after my dodgy knee I’ve only been bimbling on the promenade, but I would love to have taken part in the 10km which was held at the same time.

Perhaps next time.

Physio next Friday and I hope he can tell me how to cure this collateral ligament which is a constant nagging pain. Fingers crossed 🤞

What a lovely place to get away from the storms and yup maybe next year. Bimbling on the prom sounds perfect though. Good luck at the physio

Bimbling along a prom can be very therapeutic HF! I’m about to go and do just that (although I call it slow jogging, everyone else walks past me!). Sorry to hear the knee is still giving you problems but I hope the physio can help, in the meantime enjoy your break!

Can't help work the knee, I'm afraid, but enjoy Alicante!

What a shame you missed this one, but something to work towards for next year perhaps… I think doing a race overseas would be brilliant.

I’m just back from a few days in Venice and while we were there my friend casually tells me that Venice has a marathon every year 😱 WHAT? NO! Don’t tell me this. Nope, not going to do that……. Oh, go on then I’ll take a look at the website just to check the route 😳

Fingers crossed the physio can give you a recovery plan 🤞

I would guess that a Venice marathon would be pretty flat except for the bridges but you wouldn’t want to get lost in those alleys or fall in a canal.
