Return of the 5K "Bunny route" 🐰

Some here will know what I mean with the title 😁

Thought I'd get another run in this morning as my weekend could be busy .

(Really need to finish that tax return 😐)

I was unsure whether to do 4 or 5K but during my warm up walk I decided to do the NRC '5K Head starts'.

Today's playlist included Pink Floyd, and Jethro Tull (Aqualung)

This was my first 5K for some time so wanted to keep it nice and steady and managed to keep the first 4k at fairly consistent splits , this was comfortable which reinforced my feeling that 5K would be fine .

I did find I had to conciously keep the pace lower than it wanted to be which was encouraging , breathing nice and controlled and niggle free 😁

And around my usual 5K route which several have said looks like a Rabbit 🐰

This was a comfortable run and I'm pleased I took my time getting back to it.

I'll likely do a few more 5K's and maybe a couple of 3K Fartlek runs in the next couple of weeks , my VO2 Max has taken a hit in the last few weeks !

Back home, stretches done (Misty the cat was doing hers on the back of the sofa 😁)

Porridge and a shower , then I suppose I should go and do some work 😐

Happy running!

Lazy cat and energetic you! That seems a good time to me, my speed has really gone down since my injuries, so if that was slow and comfortable, then all good! It's great that you are back to regular running and feeling good too.

Thanks, to be honest , never been much faster , they usually come out around 37 to 38 minutes, but not really bothered about that.Just nice to run without problems.

And Misty was in the same position when I went out 😁

That is brilliant. You are working your way back in the right way. Perfect run πŸ‘πŸ‘ for you. I bet you are delighted.

Well done! I didn’t know what the bunny route was - initially I saw the photo of Misty and I thought but that’s Misty, not a rabbit 🀣. A good 5k and well run, it sounds as though everything’s coming together 😊.

Haha, the bunny route is the strava trace 😁And yes, so far so good .

A long way to go to get back to where I was though 😟

Thank you ! ,πŸ˜πŸ‘

Nice to see Misty again!

Sounds like a good run and feeling that the legs want to go faster is always nice to know you still have something in reserve. And yes, I do indeed now see a bunny!

Thanks Evy, Yes it was a comfortable run !

And Misty likes to make an appearance occasionally 🐱

It was a contact on Twitter that first labeled it the 'Bunny' and sent me this picture 😁
