So, we are nearly at the end of August and today was the last run of my โMiles for Mindโ Summer Challenge. I signed up for the 50 miles just to help keep me motivated throughout the long summer holidays (the perks of working in a school!๐). Also, running is so important to my mental wellbeingโฆit changes me from thisโฆ๐คฏ to thisโฆ๐๐!
Anyway, it definitely helped make sure I stuck to my three runs a week, finishing on 60 miles in total.
Today, inspired by CBDBโs recent post, I used my newly downloaded BorrowBox app to listen to โThe Thursday Murder Clubโ by Richard Osman on my 10K trail run.๐ Very entertaining - and the miles slipped by very quickly too!
Back to school on Wednesday, which means later weekday runs after work from now on but as summer seems to have morphed in to autumn already, that shouldnโt be a problem!
Happy running all.๐

Oh I know the ๐คฏ๐changes well! My hubby used to be a math teacher for 2 decades and Friday afternoons he was all ๐๐๐๐ turning into a ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐คฌ by Sunday evening! ๐๐๐
Looked up the Osman book, which sounds brill. But itโs been lent out until Dec in my library. So great catch!
60 miles! Oh my! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ Brilliant! ๐คฉ๐คฉ Medal looks great!!
Well done on your 50 miles Sandra - I really canโt believe that August is coming to an end already. I pledged 25 miles but if I run 11 km tomorrow I will have done 50 miles. Thatโs an incentive, as someone else can use my surplus. Itโs been a pleasure to run with you for such a worthy cause.
11 k completed today, so 50.25 miles done in August. I also ticked off all the challenges on the bingo card, the best being โeat an ice cream after a runโ. ๐ฆ๐โโ๏ธ
Very well done on exceeding your target! ๐ช You will need that ๐ from Wednesday onwards! I only have experience of working in HE and that was bad enough ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐ kudos to anyone working in a school ๐ค ๐
