Today I decided I wanted to slow my pace down, I am thinking of the end goal of running 10km 🏆🏆🏆. My timing was 49:26 and my splits were: 6:40, 6:45, 6:06, 6:04, 6:02, 5:57, 5:53. 5:44, which felt a nice steady pace. I set my alarm clock for 6am as wanted to run my first early morning run........well that did not happen!!!! I finally got out the front door at 7.30am walked some of the way to the park but decided to come back home as I needed to drop my car off for it’s MOT at 8.45am (I did not want to be rushing and feel pressured whilst running) so after dropping my car off and a short walk, I decided to start my run as I was 🥶 🥶🥶❄️❄️❄️. I soon warmed up by the time I got to the park 🌳🌳🌳🌞🌞🌞and enjoyed a nice steady 8km run around the park. I felt great afterwards and so delighted to have completed run one of week five (I can’t believe I am on week five 5️⃣5️⃣5️⃣5️⃣5️⃣ 🤗🤭. So pleased my car passed it’s MOT!! 🚘🚘🚘 I am feeling super motivated for my next run on Friday 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️(working next two days). 👨🏭👨🏭👨🏭Hope you all enjoy your next run 🏃🏻♀️💪🐻🐻🐻.

Thanks Julia, yes starting to really believe now!!!
I just can’t get out the door so early I don’t know what it is, I procrastinate really badly, just don’t feel ready for a run first thing I think part of me doesn’t think I will have the strength (which I know is silly) it would make it a lot easier for me to go running earlier, I am going to keep on trying!!!
I was going to go out for a bike ride yesterday, but the weather was truly awful, so I didn’t go anywhere! Tomorrow I’m busy all day, which is good! So riding will have to wait until later in the week, after my next run. 👍
Ah many thanks lmc50 that is very kind of you. I must say really enjoying this plan although shock horror next week distance increases up to 9km!!Hope you have a good next run.
You'll be surprised how quickly that 9th klm passes by ⏱️ the only downside is that you realize after that 10k badge in the bag its the HM that'll lure you to go looking 😎
Well done Rebecca, your pace is so impressive 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m definitely going out in the morning, was all set to go out today, but felt shattered, so I’m afraid I was a lazy lump instead
🛌 💤......you’ve inspired me, this time. My kits laid out and alarm set 👍🏃♂️
Well done on starting W5. Great splits too. I aspire to that pace! I’m just on Wk 4 of the timed plan and loving it. I’m not a morning person though and could never manage 7.30 let alone 6am! 😮
I'm with you on the early starts Frizzbomb. Even though I get up at 7am my body isn't properly awake until 10 once I've had a coffee and done some work. So most of my runs are in the evening when I've finished work (or the sneaky short lunchtime run1). I've just started W5 too, so good luck on your journey to 60mins
