Wow! That was tough. Rain, wind, Grandchildren, children, dogs all got in the way of my run last week. So this morning with the house nice and quiet I set off at 6:30 and did my 4K in the peace of the morning. It’s been a while (4 days) since last run so rather stiff afterwards. Must keep reminding myself how good I feel afterwards. Next run on Tuesday!

Very well done. Sets you up for the day.

Well done Timotea! I shall be heading out for my 5k of week 4 today, somewhere in between washing, ironing and mum-taxiing to cricket. I think you had the right idea to get your run in nice and early.

It's feeling decidedly autumnal in my neck of the woods and I think my usual routes will be a little wet after the last few days of rain. It is maybe time to invest in trail shoes to help me navigate my woodland paths as we approach autumn?

You are right! I am in denial about autumn and pretending that the leaf fall is just because of recent storms... can’t face Winter at the moment particularly as difficult to plan winter get away with COVID coming and going! Running when it’s cold and wet is also not so much fun. But then again this time last year was still on the couch...

Hope your new running shoes help with cross terrain.

6:30 start sounds brilliant, wish I'd got out that early. Sounds like you enjoyed the peace of your run after what sounds like a hectic week xx

Thanks Dijep! Very hectic week which knocked all my routines out of kilter! Diet, water consumption, exercise all over the place. And we had to celebrate two of our sons house moves! So liver suffering as well.....

Monday good day to reboot!

Well done you! You'll feel better for going and it'll set you up nicely for Tuesday. The after run feeling is what it's all about!

Well done on your 4K after a very busy week. We must start celebrating what we achieve instead of beating ourselves up for a legitimately missed day or 2, we are still busy and active. Happy running 🤗
