Totally, it's a strange feeling running across it 😬 it's nearly always windy, even on the sunniest of days. The lit up colored piccie is from when then hold the concert underneath the arches..... But the last time it rained cats and dogs, and this year .....well who knows
Its stunning. That has to be on my bucket list I think to run across an aqueduct. While New Zealand has stunning scenery, not really much call for aqueducts in the suburbs, mind you canals are scarce here too😕

The Brits of bygone times certainly liked their canals 🙄. I put a post up recently when I was out on my bike with the youngest, there's a piccie on there of horseshoe falls where the river Dee feeds the Llangollen canal where it starts, you could probably run for goodness knows how long as they all link up...... It's about a nice 6 mile trot to the falls from home, it's my next HM run hopefully.... 👍 Personally though I don't think NZ needs canals it's got so much more 👍👍
I’ll go back into your posts and have a look for the photo. Could be a while before countries start opening their borders again for travellers so I’ve got a bit of a catch up to do and re start running further when lockdown finishes, so I can do those runs justice. 😊

10 out of 10 R46 it's the very same aqueduct, though currently quite free of all watercraft 🤔.
It took me a little while but now running over it is quite exhilarating 👍

I went to the concert and fireworks display with my sis and her friends last year...beautiful setting 😊

I think I went the year before when it poured down, I think I worked last year. We can see the fireworks from our little Welsh house so that's a bonus 🙂
