I am stepping down as lead Admin on all my forums. (C25K, Bridge to 10km, Strength and Flex and Active 10) I will still be on the forums but as one of the community members. I am leaving you in very capable hands and I hope everyone on here will do their best to help ease any transition the admins see fit to implement to help with my departure from the team.
As some of you know MrRfc had a kidney transplant 2.5 years ago and woke up with a new lease of life and an energy he hadnβt had for years. I had forgotten what an energetic little sole he is and I have been trying to keep up with him π. The downside of that is that I have felt a little stretched on my time fitting everything in. I thought I could do it all but I have found to do things to the standard that I want I got burnt-out so I have made decision to pass on the lead admin baton and step down from my admin duties and spend some more time with my husband and the Bowls club we run together.
I have been immensely proud to of been part of all the forums as they grew. I will always carry a soft spot for all these forums. I have made good friends and received so much support over the years with my running, I still do not count myself as a good runner π, I still need help, which is why I will still be around, it will just be in a different capacity.
Please help the admins out as they make minor changes and bring in new people, they need your support at this delicate time. The forums need bigger admin teams to allow more structured time off and respite and I am sure you all want to help your admin team achieve this healthy balance so please be understanding of the changes that come, there might be a few less quests or what is your week as they find a balance and a good working environment. We are some the best communities going and I know you will all step up to the plate to help out now π.
Happy running to you all πββοΈ.
Health and happiness

Sad to see you leave as admin but happy that youβre still sticking around. Itβs when it becomes difficult to find a balance that you know something has to give and youβve definitely made the right decision, family comes first always. Best of luck in your adventures with your husband! Xx
You should be so proud of yourself. It's people like you that made it possible for me to run and this forum was and is a massive part of getting to be able to be a runner. So enjoy having a bit more time to yourself. Good luck πππππ
Thank you RFC and all the admins here. It is such a lovely friendly supportive environment and always a pleasure to visit. Itβs because of these forums and parkrun than Iβm still running. Thanks for all your work to help keep this a great forum.
Thanks RFC, these forums are a real treasure, I'm sure we'll all do our best to be gentle with the new admins. You have such a wonderful reason to hand them on, here's wishing you both many adventures. (Glad you'll still be around though π)
Sad to see you go but in awe of how much you manage to do in your life! Youβve been an inspiration to me in my C25K journey for which I send my sincere thanks and wish you all the very best! Look forward to seeing your posts as a forum member along the way!
Aw RFC, the end of an era. Im pretty sure you were here when I first arrived six years ago so you've been a big part of my running journey.
Thank you for all your hard work and endless support. You have made such a difference to so many people here which is all the more inspiring because we know what you've gone through personally.
Have a wonderful happy time with your husband and I look forward to hearing about your running life in the future, xxx
Sorry to see you leave as admin Rfc, but totally understand your need to get some balance in your life. Thank you so much for all your support while I have been magically transformed into a runner. Enjoy your time out and look forward to reading your running posts π
Thank you so much for all you have done for us on this brilliant forum. You and the other admins are such a super bunch. Wishing you and your husband many happy miles of running and walking together xx
Youβve done an amazing job Rfc, and although itβs a shame you wonβt be at the helm, you fully deserve more family time. Thanks for all your help and advice. β€οΈ
Sorry to lose you as an admin, but I can imagine the work it entails so you deserve to take some time back for yourself. I didn't know your husband's story, but it's absolutely wonderful that his kidney transplant has given him back his energy.
Enjoy your admin retirement RFC π sad to see you step down but more importantly enjoy your time! ππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Thank you so much for all your hard work and commitment Rfc, I know how much time you have poured into the forums. You have always been here for me. x I think much of the lovely atmosphere on the forums is down to you...and I know the Bridge forum was your creation as well as the Active10 and S &F.
I'm glad you will still be sharing your running adventures and brilliant experience with us, and look forward to reading your run reports!
Enjoy your lovely walks with MrRfc.
As Irish Princess has said, you have inspired so many of us and kept us all running for many years.
I wish you well and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for all of us, for these forums and for the running future we have all gained because of your hard work and dedication.
Take a break and enjoy your time and walks with Mr rfc.
It is always important to value what we have and live for today.
Thanks again for everything that you do and I so look forward to seeing your ongoing postings on here.
And yes of course we will support the admin teams - how could anyone on here dare not to? You are all GREAT!
You were here from the beginning for me. I followed you when you were preparing for the transplant and your recovery afterwards. I love the fact youβre βslowβ like me - you always made me feel if you could call yourself a runner then so could I. I donβt care now, but you definitely helped me get to the point where I can say proudly βIβm a runnerβ. And your admin duties - you created so many forums and then looked after them, I often wondered how you found the time!
So we will miss you. An era has come to an end, but youβll still be around. Enjoy the new lease of life you gave your husband. Health is a wonderful thing and youβve helped a great many of us to improve it!
Thank you, you were all such a tremendous support through transplant. We are all runners on here, something I firmly believe in. Rfc x
Thanks so much for all your support on here RFC. I look forward to reading about your running journey. Glad you are taking care of you and mr. Speedy π€
All the very best for you Rfc and Mr Rfc. Thank you for all you have done for this forum and for us. On a personal note, you were instrumental in getting me (a slow runner) to 10km as I followed your plan. Enjoy the walks and the bowls xx
Thank you and all the admin team for all the effort you put into this wonderful forum. I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I started running and this forum has and still does literally keep me going. I didn't know about MrRfc but am glad to hear that he has a new found energy and is well. You are a truly giving person. All the best to you both. x
Thank you. This forum was my idea as I thought we all needed another place to talk about more technical aspects of running as we progress, it has been great to see it flourish and be so useful. . Rfc xxx
Thank you for helping this forum to change so many lives including mine. Iβm just delighted that youβre leaving admin for such a lovely reason! Enjoy every minute! Xx
I havenβt been here long, having very recently graduated from C25K, but I was very quickly completely in awe of the time and effort that all the admins devote to these forums. It is a credit to all of you that they are safe, supportive and incredibly friendly places. Thank you for the many years you have given to help fledging and other runners, particularly through your own difficult personal times. Enjoy the time you can now share with your husband. ππ
What a great reason for stepping down! Thanks for all your work on the forums and all the best to you and your husband in your new energetic lives π
It has all been said, dear Rfc, but you have been and still are so inspirational and motivating to us here on the forum and beyond it ... Just thanks for everything.
Not forgetting all the admins and all the grand VRBs here.
Hope you have time to do all you want and keep running. My daughter lives in Hackney and I keep meaning to do a parkrun with her so might see you there!
Might be a while. Iβm very busy now as Iβm back on granny duty with an almost 2 year old (not to mention a 5 and 10 year old). Only started C25K because my daughter was on maternity leave for a year! A repeat looks unlikely as she now has 3 beautiful girls. Maybe once she starts nursery . . . Anyway thanks for all your work on the forums.
Thank you for all that you have done to keep the fora running smoothly. I am glad that you are leaving admin for positive reasons and that Mr Rfc is Doing so well x
Itβs all been said already but still feel need to say again as this forum got me to be a runnerπ and without yours and other admin Iβm not convinced I would have made it. Enjoy your well earned hubby time and thanks again
Thank you for all your work, support, encouragement and advice. Youβve been a constant source of inspiration during the two and a half years Iβve been running and a member of the forums. Very best wishes to you and Mr Rfc.
All the best to you and your hubby Rfc. You and the admins have made these forums an amazing place of support which has helped so many of us make a better and fitter life. We would have been very hard pressed to do it without you. Thank you and enjoy your very well deserved break. Look forward to seeing you on here in a civilian capacity! X
Thank you so very much for your long and brilliant contributions to these forums. I had never belonged to any forums until C25k and I have learnt so very much. I have really appreciated the friendly atmosphere and sharing in many folks running journeys, both the joys and the struggles. All, of course, made possible by you and the other wonderful admin team members. Thank you so much.
I have just re-read your profile! Amazing! Inspirational! How special to be the one to donate a kidney to your husband. What a journey you have had together. Enjoy the next chapter and I look forward to reading any next instalments that you post! Running ππ»ββοΈ, cycling π΄ββοΈ, swimming πββοΈ!!! Fantastic!
Here is a thank you bouquet πΉπΈπΊπΌπ»π·π
