Nothing good in life never happens easily does it? A simple Santa Scramble becomes such a big effort because body decides earlier on in the week it was going to give me grief. A week nursing a back that didn’t want to hold me up, I was beginning to despair, I’d almost come to terms with having to walk this and walk around the obstacles.
Well, I’m an obstinate b...person and wasn’t having any of that. So last night, I spent it sleeping on the floor as my bed was making it worse. I had the best night’s sleep in days and this morning my back was just sore and stiff, no inflamed muscles! I was careful around them all, I only missed one (long, thin tubes for crawling through) and even did the one at the end (see eldest kitten running towards the finish), and I ran most of it, very slowly and carefully but I ran it. 💪💪💪🎅🏼🤶🏻🎅🏼🎅🏼
As you can see, we were very, very lucky with the weather - it doesn’t look like that now, it’s very much back to rainy, windy normal now. So we all have our bling, and we’ve had an absolute ball for a very, very good cause. And we’ve all got bling 😁🏅🏅🏅🏅
Thank you to everyone who has helped keep my chin up this week, it’s really helped 🤗🏅🦆🤶🏻🎅🏼
...now where is that ice block...🤔

Yay. Well Done TailChaser, Katnap and kittens, what brilliant fun you had and those obstacles look quite challenging. Love the bling too. Your family Christmas letter this year is going to be filled with running achievements and it was all started by you and your c25k. Congratulations to you all. 🤶🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
Thank you Dexy, it was great! Looking forward to doing another one when I can throw myself at the obstacles like youngest kitten (well, maybe a bit like him...). I have had so much trouble keeping the Round Robin down to it’s normal one page I have to say, the paragraph on running is quite large 😂😂
Good luck to you and UTS tomorrow, and hope you have lots of fun tonight too 🤗
Whoohoo! Looks like a blast! Great job TailChaser , Katnap and kittens!!!! You guys rocked it. I'm glad your back held up. Take some extra rest days and enjoy your bling.
Thank you SaskAlliecat, I’m so happy it survived! And it was soooo much fun 😁 There is an obstacle course run in Coventry next year, so I might sign us up for that 😁 Very creaky now but very happy! I’ve come to terms with the fact that I have to take it easy for a few days and maybe focus on the next Parkrun rather than push myself too much next week. Bling still round neck 😂😂
Sounds like a very reasonable, responsible plan. You'll have to find a prominent place to display your (and the whole cat family's) bling for all to see!
Aww cool pics! Haha I can't believe you ran it TC ~ you runner, you!! 🤣🏃♀️🦆 Well done, glad the hard floor helped your back out and got you sorted in time 🤗🦋🦆
Thanks Flara, so am I. Floor again tonight too 😊 Hope you’re hubby is on the mend? 🤗🦆🦋
Well done TailChaser! Amazing work getting through that one running, I wasn’t sure you’d be up to it after reading your last post ...that’s absolutely fantastic 😃 A big well done to the rest of the family too and send Kat a fitsbump for a quality beard 👊 ...from one beardy man to another 😁 🎅🏻 ⚡️
I had the same feeling up until yesterday TS, and it did feel more like speed walking, especially to begin with, but once we’d warmed up it wasn’t so bad. Still the slowest run I’ve done but I did it! I’m just so pleased they all enjoyed it; now we have to do another one at a proper speed 😂. Katnap fist pumps back 👊😺🤶🏻🎅🏼🎅🏼
Yeah, just can’t sit down for too long (not much chance of that 😂). Good luck with your last B10K week Deals, looking forward to seeing your new bling soon 👍👍👍
