Today was a perfect day for running! It had rained heavily in the night so the morning was cooler and with less humidity. The addition of light rain meant that it felt cool too, especially under the trees.
This week was week 5 of Ju-Ju’s plan, so 8k for my long run. I did have it my mind that I could try for 10k, knowing that I had managed 8k, but also knowing that if I managed 8k again then I was still on track! But the conditions were perfect and my legs and breathing both came together. The first 5k went really well so I decided to go for it! Instead of 2 laps of the park I knew that I could do 3. I kept my pace slow and steady and really enjoyed it. And I did 10k. I feel so proud of myself. I’m 48 years old, still massively overweight. I have never ever run this far before and today I ran for 10k.
Once again I need to thank all of you lovely members who have helped me to believe that I can do this.

That is superb! I have just had a bad run and reading this has picked me up again. This forum is great for that. Go you ! You should be hugely proud of yourself!!
That's why these forums, especially their members, are so inspiring. Thank you - I can't even run 5K yet but you have made me believe I can aim for 10K when I've hit that goal
