Hi there and welcome to Week 4 of the New Quest for this month!
How is it all going? Are we seeing better and brighter days? I am not sure...but, despite the weather and a few of us on, or just off the IC... our running is moving forward
So, persevere with those new goals... Spring is in the air!
Take it slow and steady and stay healthy and happy
What the Quest is:-
The Quest takes one month . You can join any time, within those weeks.
The main aim of the Quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
I ask that you will be a Graduate to join the Quest. The main reason I ask this, is that while you are doing the programme, your plan is very structured, so I wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.
Most popular goals are:-
To run three times a week
To slowly increase distance
To train for a specific race
To add In Stretch and Strength exercises
As you can see they are personal to yourself and it's totally your own choice.
Every week I will pin a new post, where all the members of the Quest can talk about how things are going.
So if you wanted to join all you have to do is put;
I would like to join the Quest, or count me in, and then I would like to. ..............
Your name will then be added to the top post and every week your name will be in the Quest until the end.
At the end of the Quest, there will be a certificate that you can download to keep.
Wishing you a happy, healthy week

Hi Floss, two lovely runs under my belt this week already, and the choice of a Friday and Sunday or Saturday then Monday run next...
How exciting to hear from *Our lovely Laura* yesterday with her posting on c25k ... I will definitely watch the BBC breakfast show on Monday to see her in action!
Hi to Anniemurph waving pom poms, and happy running fellow questers.πx
Thank you! I may take my pompoms to Monsal on Saturday I'm not sure if I can wave them in a non-strenuous manner though so perhaps I should leave them at home - you can't wave pompoms decorously, can you?
I have been slowly jogging every other day, as promised. I'm not feeling a spring in my step yet (because of heavy outerwear maybe?) but am plodding along sticking with my plans to get back to running. Just now, I'm drinking green tea hoping for a mini-burst of energy for a run today.... Do certain foods pep one up better than others?
This week I've had a muddy woodland run, some early morning intervals and have been joining the children at school with their Sports Relief mile on most days (so not strictly observing the rest day rule this week.. eek!). Now looking forward to a scenic run on Sunday. Still finding it hard to stick to doing the knee exercises on alternate days. MUST start doing these more regularly as I do think they've helped.
Ahem. Sorry. I live quite near the bottom of the the Tissington Trail and therefore if I look out of my office window (or any window, come to that) I often see runners making their way to or from the Trail. I envy them And I cheer them on and wish them a good run
Only another four weeks, two days, 11 hours, 56 minutes...
Oh no! It is a gorgeous morning here - dry sunny, 7C - absolutely perfect for a run *sigh*. And oh, look, there goes another runner past my window! 'Have a great run!'
I hope you don't get too damp on your run, but if you do, think of the lovely hot shower when you get back
I'm happy: proud to have achieved the dog walk on a day it could so easily have not happened, had one day where I really could.not.be.arsed to finish off my food diary as it involved inputting too many new or total guesswork things, squats squatted, usually before the alarm reminds me.
Still have my virtual International Women's Day 10k run (different bling to the other lovely medals being posted) to do... meant to do it yesterday but technowoes and knee deep snow got in the way (lovely run mind) So went and completed my swim target for this month later on instead. I am told the weather is going to turn nasty from Tuesday so maybe can't go taking it to the wire...
