... with air drumming to Money for Nothing (which is quite difficult when you're running at the same time). Can you wonder I was grinning like a mad fool as I did a v-e-r-y s-l-o-w myAsics recovery 5k this morning? I was going so slowly I was singing as I went up the Trail - huge apologies to any residents or visitors, especially as I started with MCR's Welcome to the Black Parade, hence 'We'll carry on', belted out at the top of my lungs. My concert also included the two choons in the title of this post, plus Elvis, who assured me of his Burning Love, and I was duetting nicely with Jennifer Saunders on Holding Out for A Hero before the Proclaimers kicked in with their suggestion that I could perhaps try walking 500 miles and then another 500 with them. I thought this might be a tad ambitious before breakfast so called it a day at that point and went home, having had a wonderful workout.
On my way back I had a moment or two of worry when I noticed the town was full of riot police but apparently we have a Royal visit today. That's all right then.

Ooh what fun! I love singing and dancing like a mad idiot. You can get away with lunatic behaviour at my age what with the invisibility cloak 😎 I love that burning love one! Holding out for a heroooooooo. Good luck with that one! 😁
Royalty! New hospital wing ?🙂
Hope you had a goodly lunch post run. Lovely day int it! I have been out with the dog.
I must be getting a teensy bit fitter because normally I don't have enough breath to talk, let alone sing! Mind, this was one of the very slow runs, as in a 10:50 mins/km run which I can't do. We compromised, let's put it that way
I'm not quite sure what was being visited. Possibly the local history collection or society or whatever it is. They do have to be so polite, these royals.
I stuffed my face for lunch, and there were raspberry iced buns. Two of 'em. Not entirely a success, which was why there were two, because I was dithering about whether I liked the first one or not Note to M&S: don't mess with the classics. An iced bun is a slightly spiced bun with white icing on the top. It doesn't have to have raspberry jam in it and pink icing on it. There are some left but hopefully my daughter will like them and save me.
When I started I couldn't run without music or Laura to hide the sound of my thumping feet and gasping breath. Then a couple of years ago I did a runstreak and it was too much faff to organise music for 10 minutes a day! Now I'm doing longer runs I get bored, so I need something to keep me going again
