This is one seriously heavy piece of bling! But I'm so proud of it, and my time, 1:04:19.
The race had 6000 entrants and the whole of Norwich city centre was closed to traffic. There were spectators along most of the route, music, cow bells clanging (no cows, Norwich isn't that rural) and a brilliant bunch of volunteers who cheered us on the whole way.
I was pretty nervous for the couple of days before the race and this morning I was even thinking that I'm really not a race person because I don't need the extra stress in my life. However, I just decided to enjoy it, and enjoy the sights of Norwich that I'd normally only pass in a car or wouldn't pass at all. And I loved it! Even the Rose Lane hill wasn't as bad as the organisers made out. The final hill at the 9.3km mark was, however, much worse!
I'm definitely signing up for next year. But in the meantime, I'm heading over to claim my graduation badge

Well done you! It was brilliant wasn't it? When I got my medal I was gushingly greatful to the volunteer who put it round my neck. I couldn't have been more greatful if she'd run it for me
It's so heavy Ihad to hold it to stop it hitting my stomach and making me sick on the walk back to the runners' village! Now I just need to find a hook strong enough to hold it
That's fantastic, well done you, a great time........not a race person eh?......and you're already champing at the bit for next year.....mmmm 🤔
More like a personal 'race' that you want to maybe have another go......and maybe improve your time.....a personal goal? And of course there's the lovely bling 🏅you get to collect, every time you look at it, it will make you smile.....
The B210K programme is... where the heck is it? (after some searching) here: b210k.com/b210k-programme/ It's not an the NHS one but it's the one I used. There is a podcast but no Laura or Julie but it has some really good rock music It's... also challenging to find! It's so well hidden I uploaded them here: 1drv.ms/f/s!As_Xq69qwUt1mq0... instead of trying to find it again. Enjoy.
Thank you very much everybody for all your well dones. I really appreciate them all. This really is a great forum. Everybody is so motivational that I really don't think I would have got through a year of running with out it. One year ago exactly, I did C25k w5r1 which included intervals of just 5 minutes of running. 5 minutes! I've increased the time I can run for by at least an hour! If I can do it then anybody can.
Fantastic, on week 9 c25k so am looking at my options B210K looks good. My "coach" was Jo Wiley, it was either her or Michael Johnson (a bit scary) she was lovely and encouraged me right the way through the programme, when you have your music playing its's a bit like listening to her on the radio. I've never run before and I'm getting hooked1
