Brief update .

A successful 1st week 3 runs completed wirh no after effects . 3 x 3.5km runs . Was tempted to do a 4th but decided NO stick to the plan 3 runs a week till 5km is the norm again ...

Thursday was much more spring like ... have a feeling this is going to be a good solid year of running.. if all goes to plan aiming for the local 10k in June .. dont hold me to it though ...

Happy weekend to you all 😊

Hi Rob, I have just come back to the forum after a 4 month absence (silly me, why did I leave for so long) and happy to see you are still around, thought I would say hi! Your post popped up as one of the first on my feed when I logged in, and I can see you have had a break too over the last few months. I hope you are well and the issues in your post "Worrying times" are now resolved, sorry to hear you had an anxious time. I am glad you are finding your way back ok. I am about to go on my first walk/run tomorrow (parkrun) after a 4 month break, wish me luck! I might be silly to be going to a parkrun but I just feel I have to and that it's what I need mentally. Hope your running continues well.

Hi sarah469 . Thank you it has been a difficult few months in one way or another. For now everything is fine and stable ..

I am just very glad to be able to get back out and settle back into the routine but with no specific goals ..

Good for you . Parkrun is for all just take it as it comes but the real bottom.line is enjoy it .. we very often forget that is really why we do it..

No luck needed you will do just fine and welcome back to you xx

I'm sorry to hear that, but glad everything is fine and stable currently. I hope it stays that way for you.

I feel the same, I just want to get back to running without any pressure whatsoever. Just need to listen to my body and be kind to it - and exercise!!

Thanks, I hope your next run goes well for you!

Really pleased to read this Rob. Yes, I sniff spring in the air. Apparently we're getting a bit of a heatwave (well for this time of year) next week 🤗

Happy weekend to you too x
