I might be late to the gate with this one but I have just come across an Website called smash run and it is right up my street. As most of you know I'm a Stats girl and boy does this give out in abundance. I have linked it in to my Garmin stats and every run now it give me little bits of extra information and it's for free.
My Saturday run it tells me it was the fastest run of that distance ever, it's told me it's the longest run I Have done for three months and the earliest in the day I have gone out apart from races, all from syncing with my Garmin results.
Here is the link if anyone else wants to have a go. It uses other information as well I think if you have other watches.
I use smashrun too as well as strava i think both compliment each other well. I not tried the pro version yet. It be good if they did a free trial to see if it was any good.
How does this work then? I clicked your links benwill and simonwilliamstutor and found we are already friends - did you both add me? Sorry if this is an obvious question, I've not had any friends there until now! Happy to have you both, I|love to see what other HU-ers are up to!
I'm terrible with social media I'm always getting to wrong. I can just about cope with Twitter. I know what you mean the link takes you to the page and my name comes up as friend but I think that is because my computer knows who I am rather than I've added a new friend.
It takes you to there smash run page. Then on the upper left hand side it will say there Name in Yellow writing. If you move your mouse over it (dont click) then it will come up with like a bigger menu and you can choose to follow.
I found an email message when I logged into Hotmail, saying you had both added me and I had to accept there. I expect I'll get the hang of it - eventually! It's a good site isn't it? I like bow it compares runs of similar lengths for you, Garmin doesn't do that.
Ok I've got it now and added names in, hopefully I have got it right. If you see some strange runs on mine it's because me and my husband are going out together and he is wearing the heart rate monitor and I am wearing the watch. We are trying to help with his fitness without over stressing his body and I refuse to lose my walk for my 1000km for 2016 calculations.
One thing though that irked me. It tells me I only run twice a week. Whaaaaaaaat! I've been running 3 times a week since Adam were a lad. Not according to Smashrun. Wassat all about then? Have I been living a lie? Please nooooooo........
