Do you have a running buddy?

Just wondering how many of you run with a friend or partner. If yes, do you think you would be able to keep it up on your own? If no, are you looking for one?

I would say that I run 75% by myself and 25% with my partner. I definitely feel like I push myself more when running with someone else.. not necessarily to go faster, but to keep going when I feel tired. Some of the days when I run by myself, I am much more tempted to stop and walk for a bit.

I am a sole runner, not many people run as slow as me. Saying that I love the buzz of events where there are thousands of people to run with. It just feels electric. I know lots of people swear by running buddies to push them further.

I prefer to run alone, I don't like being driven to someone else's pace. I go out with my OH quite often, but we warm up together, run separately, then meet up when we are finished. I will run along with others doing similar pace if it works out that way at parkrun but only if it's not forcing me along too fast.
