Any solution to the intense pain after radiation on shoulders and back?

Does physiotherapist help to reduce the pain on shoulders and back after radiation? Need help soon please!

Hi rgci13,

I discussed with my radiation oncologist today.

Such pain is fairly common with many patients. Especially in those, who have had skin reactions. Is it more of a burning kind of pain.

You can take pain killers regularly for a few days, and then taper off over a few days. Probably that may help.

Also, continue doing shoulder exercises, they are of utmost importance to maintain shoulder movement.

Let us know if it resolves or not.

Thank you Doctor. For the last two/ three days was down with pain and fever and doctor put me on antibiotics and tronger pain killers for 4 days and today I am felling slightly better. The skin has dried up quite a bit. Thank you for concern and help . Your support has been great! Thanx again.
