My mom is 58 years old and recently we did a mammogram followed by biopsy and below were the results .

BRIEF CLINICAL HISTORY

Right breast lump.

FNAC - BIRADS IV atypical cells. NATURE OF SPECIMEN

USG guided biopsy from right breast lump.

GROSS

Received 3 grey white to grey brown linear cores, smallest measuring 0.5 cms and largest measuring 1.2

cms in length. (All embed)

MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION

- Biopsy cores show invasive ductal caricnoma, NOS, nuclear score 2

- Extensive desmoplasia is noted.

DIAGNOSIS / COMMENTS

- Invasive ductal carcinoma, NOS, nuclear score 2. - Correlate clinically and with imaginf features.

We are based out in Hyderabad and also have family in Bangalore. we are clueless of the next steps and whats tests to be done next done. Also, looking for the best cancer treatment and surgeon in Hyd and Bangalore. Any suggestions and course of action would be helpful.

Both Hyderabad and Bengaluru have many excellent doctors to treat breast cancer. And I would rate all of them as equal and very good. No one better than the other. The treatment protocols for breast cancer are straightforward and there is no ambiguity. So don’t get swayed if someone tells that one of the places has some ‘best’ doctor.

Endorsing one single hospital or a single doctor is against the rules and ethos of this forum. Search for yourself. Ask your family doc. Visit a Surgical Oncologist first. He will do the staging and take a call on line of treatment. More than seeing the name and fame, select a doctor who gives time to you. Which is more crucial. If your doctor gives adequate time to you, you won’t even need to come to this forum later and ask doubts.

Biopsy should tell the type ER,Hers or triple negetive.

Do a PET scan to find out where it has spread ,if it hasnt spread far then surgery will be done ,but if it has they will start chemotherapy
