Cheaper Alternative to Herceptin

Just read a news item today..It says Intas Pharma launches a new biosimilar to Herceptin called Eleftha, which will cost just 1/3 rd of Herceptin approx ₹ 20,000/- for 440 mg strength in place of present price of ₹ 60000/-. Hope this is proven approved medicine. Waiting for my wife's Onco suggest/ recommend this. A very good news for Her2 + breast cancer patients !

Shouldn’t be a problem. The right person to tell you about it’s efficacy is your Medical Oncologist. We don’t have MedOncs on board here.

Also, most biosimilars are in same price range I.e 20k to 30k. Sometimes, some schemes are also going on. For example, if you buy three, you get one free; and such. Talk to your doc. I am sure he will arrange it for you directly through a distributor.
