My mother went through radial mastectomy on 21 jan 2019 doctor advised us to go for 4 EC Chemotherapy cycles, her 1st chemo cycle to start on 14th feb and her wound didn't heal till now. Will doctor delay my mother chemo cycle Or not? Does chemotherapy affect healing

Doctor will have to balance the risks of pros and cons of starting or delaying yours mom's chemo based on her clinical and Path report findings

He may consult your Surgeon and Mae take individualised call...based on your anxiety, distress and risk accepting capabilities.

Agree with Dr. Rohit above. If it’s a very small wound and on its way to heal without any infection, sometimes we do start chemo. But on an average, it is always preferred for wound to heal before chemo. It’s an individual call, varies from doctor to doctor and patient to patient. Your surgeon is the best person to guide you.
