"Metronomic Therapy"
Hi Ajinkya......We stay at Delhi and my wife has also been diagnosed with TNBC. She's having her neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
I consulted Tata memorial for MMT and they said they will review her RCB post our current treatment and accordingly suggest for MMT.
Lets see if we can hear from someone who is currently having it.....
Best of luck...GK

To explain metronomic chemotherapy would be too long; I request you to search Google with "Metronomic Chemotherapy", I checked all the first page search links and almost all of them explain the same in detail and beautifully.
The principle of metronomic therapy is to give low dose chemotherapy on a long term basis. It is definitely given to avoid recurrence. I have myself seen the effects of metronomic chemo in patients with head and neck cancer while I was at Tata Memorial Centre. Not all respond, but those who do respond, the effects were good.
Metronomic therapy will not cause much of side effects since its given in lower doses.
Please note that Metronomic therapy is presently not a standard of care and trials are still going on, so it should be taken only from a centre conducting such a trial.
