hi,my mother's chemotherapy is going on in Tata memorial,Dr.suggested herceptin injection but we can can not afford ,pls guide how to help.

Meet Social Worker at Tata Memorial Hospital for partial funding from their huge list of generous donors. They may seek some documents etc, Ration card etc to determine your eligibility.

Pl see if you can ask your Hospital if they are having scheme under "Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana " This scheme is implemented in the state of Maharashtra.

Tata Memorial Centre does have one of the best social worker network in the country. So like roxboxfox has mentioned above, you must approach the MSW there.

The only issue is, it's not easy to get things done, as so many people come for their help. Get a reference to MSW from your concerned doctor. You may have to visit them multiple times, but if you persist, your work will surely get done.

Also, ask your Medical Oncologist if your mother can be enrolled on any trials of Herceptin going on.
