Initially before starting chemo my sister was informed 4 weekly cycles by linac radiation will be sufficient. Now it is being informed by the doctors that 6 weekly cycles will be required. Is there any reason for this increase. I have asked the doctor the reason but not received any justification to my answer.

Doctor pl help the base or guidelines for the cycles. Why the increase is suggested?

The radiation always lasts for 6 to 7 weeks. There is no 4 weekly radiation. I guess there must have been some miscommunication.

So don't worry. It's not that they have increased. RT is always 6 to 7 weeks.
