Here is my latest, (quick update) I'm 61, dg in June 2018, invasion ductal cancer, rt breast, numerous lymph nodes which went across my chest & into one left axillary node, no lump, & left breast had no cancer. Er & Pr+ Her2- . Had genetic testing done & am neg. Started Arimidex & ibrance, 125mg in July. First CT at end of October. Over 50 percent of cancer gone & lymph nodes we're completely clear! Continue on same treatment. This past Feb 8, 2019, CT/pet. Cancer completely gone!!! Saw onc 2/21/19 & was told I had to be on these meds for the rest of my life! ( because the cancer was going to come back) I talked to the pharmacy guy where my ibrance comes from. He was shocked at how fast it went away & when I asked about the chemo for life he said it makes sense to be on ibrance for a few more months but not for more than a year. Reason being is that there could be some cancer cells to small to detect. I've decided to get a second opinion!!! I can understand being on the, I'm now on letrozole, for 3,5 or even 10 yrs. but not the chemo. Thanks for letting me vent!

I am with you - elating to get the all clear, but being on meds forever is not where we want to be. A second opinion sounds good. I wish you continued cancer free health. caroline xx

Wow great news! 🙌🏼 I googled IBRANCE, is it administrated as chemo or just similar side effects? Sorry, confused why you mentioned chemo.

Ibrance is chemo in pill form. It comes in 125, 75 & other doses. It does have side effects, a lot depends on the health of person taking it.
