Mother daughter breast cancer

Hi. I just got diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer on the right. Invasive mammary carcinoma with prominent mutinous features. Associated with ducal carcinoma in situ present. Have already had a lumpectomy and went in again four weeks later to take a little more out.

at the same time my daughter just got diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma triple negative stage three. She was about to start chemo the first of the year. In he space of two weeks she had a pet scan and it jumped fro stage 3 to stage 4 and has spread to her collarbone, spine, sternum and spine. Has pretty well left us speechless.

That's a tough lot. Try stay as positive as you can. The next wee while is to get into battle mode. Take your cues from your treatment team. And know they will fight alongside you and your daughter in every way they can x I have my fingers crossed for you that they have a chemo cocktail that targets the cancer well and may reduce the spread over time. Look for the practical things you can and need to do. Don't dwell on the worry. You will get through this.

Thank you so much. I’m overwhelmed with worry and heartbreak for my beautiful daughter. Your message really spoke to me. I need to be strong for her and put my worries into the practical things like you said. Thank for such great advice.

I can’t even falome that I can write this. Mu daughter just went to stage four and it’s in her bones, spine, collarbone, pelvis and spurum. She just got a timeline. I can’t tell you how sad and devastated I am. Not supposed to happen. No parent should have to go thru this. I need to be the one r

That can save or make her well.

Oh that's awful, but each time I click on Microsoft news, they have found another way to tackle cancer spreading. (Cancer is on my feed after having a double op, the same as you, this year). Stay positive. My 76 year old brother got through a 7% chance of it clearing after an op and chemo for bile duct cancer, when we thought all was lost xx

Devastating any time but especially at a young age. The words my Oncologist said still resonate : it is not curable but it is treatable. That was almost 4 years ago.

What I wish for your daughter is a good response to treatment, and many years of stable scans

I so pray for that. I’m completely devastated but I’m not going to give up. I will fight to the very end for her and she will do the same.
