Permanent anxiety and nausea.

I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to the lungs 3 months ago. Quite a shock. I on Palbo 125 mg and Falsodex injections. Finished my first course 2 weeks ago, then got Covid. Then sciatica snd plantar fasciitis. During this last few weeks my anxiety is do bad I am just panicking about every thing. Getting up in the morning, feeling sick, going to bed at night, my husband going on holiday, not being able to eat. It sucks the joy out of everything and I can't stop it. I tried Sertraline and it made me feel so ill. Extremely nauseous and dizzy. I was so worried in A& E for 24 hrs. Nothing wrong. Extreme reaction to Sertraline and extreme anxiety. I have lost my normal active self and am this anxiety ridden mass. The anxety is worse than the cancer!! Any ideas?

It’s not surprising that you feel anxious and I’m sorry to hear your news. But too much anxiety does make you feel awful and, like weathervane, I would also suggest you speak to a specialist cancer nurse, GP or someone in your treatment team to seek support and practical help. CBT can reportedly help, but keep asking until you feel heard! All the very best! X

So sorry to hear that you’re going through such a difficult time. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to my left lung three years ago. It was devastating news and I figured my life was over in a few months. I’ve been on Ibrance and Faslodex for three years and try to stay active by walking at least 3 miles daily, taking vitamin D3, Zinc, Calcium, multivitamins, and Iron. My scans so far have shown no active disease. I have a great husband who is very supportive. I have chosen not to tell friends, and even some family members of my diagnosis because I want to try and live a normal without the pitying looks from others.

Please know that we are in this together and God and science will help us. Best wishes.

Hi Am in a similar stage as you without The covid, sciatica n plantar fasciitis..

I had radiation on bone in neck and was very sick after an anxiety was high . I meet with the lovely palliative team who looked after my sickness pain and anxiety. I was put on steroids and a pain tablet pregabalin which helped so much got me back to myself and off all now. Took 2 months but I’m the better off it now ..

I’m also on fulvestrant injections and palbociclib 100mg was on 125 but bloods neut taking its toll

I have metastatic breast cancer spread to bone and lung.. only diagnosed before Christmas.

Very positive from oncology with patients on this treatment which is always great to hear.

I hope you get some help and can find a new normal to help live with this cancer. Definitely ask for help from palliative care they were brilliant.❤️❤️
