I also have Lymphodema. I haven’t considered surgery but I would have thought it might be quite risky infection wise. Do you have a Lymphodema clinic that could advise?

Yes I’m aware of the risk regarding infection, although antibiotics should sort that out. However the Lymphoedema gets irritated by wearing a bra as I’ve got it in my back where the bra straps sit. It’s far more comfortable when I don’t wear one, but I don’t get any support & end up being cooped up indoors because I can’t leave the house without a bra. My boobs aren’t small & with the added swelling due to Lymphoedema it makes life very uncomfortable all round....I really don’t know what to do.... 🤷‍♂️

Hi there, a friend of mine had lymphoedema. Talking to the surgeon locally in Birmingham UK, 5 years ago she had a lymph node moved from the groin to the armpit to facilitate lymph fluid movement. The surgery worked really well and has significantly increased the movement of fluid and reduced lymphoedema.
