Clonidine

Hi lovely ladies,

I've been prescribed Clonidine by the nurse practitioner, it's to help with my night time hot flushes and lack of sleep due to this. I did check with her whether it would be OK with my tamoxifen and the answer was yes it's fine. However, this morning I woke up in a bit of a panic as I had forgotten to ask about the fact that my cancer is/was oestrogen fed. Has anyone had any experience of this medication?

Thanks in advance.

Hi sorry I don’t know your best option is to call your breast cancer nurse. Good luck x

Yes, i take it for night sweats from the arimidex i take after my breast cancer.

I also had er/pr +.

I've had no issues and been on it for 2 years.

It hasn’t caused you added depression or mental fog?

Not that I've noticed.

I also take an antidepressant but i had depression before i ever started the clonidine.

The only noticeable thing is a dry mouth it gives me but it works great for the night sweats.

I take it before i go to bed so i don't notice any fogginess/sleepiness it might cause.

I take two 0.1mg tabs.
